Welcome to NOWHERE TOWN

Cartoon-like figures in imaginary and overcrowded places which remind us of somewhere real. In these works I explore and depict cities and the people who inhabit them, the ways in which the city encroaches upon and shapes our daily routines as we bring it to life and make it our own.

Welcome to NOWHERE TOWN is any city, with its bright lights and its dark alleys, the crowded streets and the loneliness which plagues many of its inhabitants, where personal problems and everyday experiences provide the fuel for empathy.

Here, as well as in the city, the stimuli are diverse and continuous, thus the use of different techniques and materials in most of the works.

Bienvenido a NOWHERE TOWN

Entornos saturados, atmósferas irreales, figuras caricaturescas en espacios que nos recuerdan la realidad. En estas obras exploro y retrato la ciudad y sus habitantes; la manera en que la ciudad impone su ritmo a nuestra cotidianidad, y como la gente a su vez, se apropia de ella y le da vida.

Bienvenido a Nowhere Town es cualquier ciudad, con sus luces brillantes y sus callejones oscuros; sus calles llenas de gente y la soledad de algunos de los que las habitan; dónde los problemas y las experiencias personales son el común denominador de la empatía.

Aquí, como en la ciudad, los estímulos son variados y constantes, de ahí la conjugación de técnicas y materiales diversos en muchas de las obras.
